Goodness, Thursday already!

Where has the week gone? Somehow we have arrived at the end of Thursday!  It’s been a busy week, with some exciting things happening, but all the photographs are on the other computer so I can only whet your appetite.  Tomorrow is busy too, but the weekend is quieter so I will share pictures with you then.

In the meantime, however, I would like to ask what you think.  I have to admit that I am finding Facebook extremely tedious, and I’m seriously thinking of giving it the ‘boot’.  Shall I?

Can I live without it? Answers below, please.

  1. You don’t actually need to give anything the ‘boot’ — just forget that you have the account, and see if you survive the separation. 😀

    1. 😆 I hardly use it, but some people only contact me that way. I made up my mind last month, but facebook won’t stop sending me emails, in spite of changing my settings. I’m really sick of it.

  2. Never wanted to use FB from the start. Don’t like how they can change your personal stuff without asking & last week they messed up many accounts again. I would vote YES to giving it the boot.

More people are using Pinterest as it is friendlier & so far no issues with personal data. FB is attracting less & less people globally & i can see why.

Off soapbox now, sorry! I get quite emotional about FB. I find some FB users who think everyone is on there & make no effort to include those of us who chose not to be in their ‘club’.

Oops have now fallen off said soapbox lol. Looking forward to seeing what other commets are advising 🙂

    1. Facebook has been useful for business, I think that’s why so many people use it. Actually, if you get your settings right in the first place they don’t change them, most people don’t know that. The email thing is annoying, though, that’s new this week, I think.

  3. Hi,
You are lucky it’s Thursday there, it is Friday here. 😀
I have never had a facebook page, but I know a few friends that have left, and none have looked back as far as I know. 🙂

    1. It’s Friday here too now! I bet it’s Saturday with you now 😆 If you see my page you will see how often I’ve posted! A helpful grandson ‘joined me’, now he’s too grown up to contact me that way…. 🙂

  4. I have a love-hate relationship with Facebook. I love it because I can stay in touch with distant family and friends and because I can use Publicize feature for my blog, twitter and photos. What I hate about FB is the arbitrariness of the changes and (supposed) upgrades. It makes me want to tell everyone to re-read “1984” – Big FB Brother IS watching.

  5. I find Facebook incredibly boring…I have an account because it’s the ONLY way to keep in touch with a few people I know who don’t respond to email or phone calls. (There’s something very polarizing about FB, as I’m sure you’ve noticed.)

    1. I’ve managed to make all my friends contact in other ways. In fact, some of us now have a private wordpress blog so that we can do so. That beats Facebook! Thanks for commenting.

  6. I used to be addicted to farcebonk but now I’ve replaced it with blogging! I still pop over every couple of days to see if I’ve missed anything but I rarely status update. I’d say keep it open and have the occasional peep 😉
