This post make me wonder what kind of memories of your grandmother are associated with this plate! Was it something that she enjoyed using? Did she use it on holidays? Did she give it to you?
Oh I wish I had my grandmother’s favorite bowl. Someone else got it instead of me. It was a stoneware piece that was a dark cream color with a pink and blue stripe around it. She mixed up many good meals in that bowl.
It is a lovely bowl! My grandmother gave me a couple of neat pieces. My son has the tiny pink pitcher she gave me…he seemed to think it was o.k. that as a child I had somehow chipped the lip on one side.
I’ll have to post a few of her things or perhaps just one.
