Frankly, I’m irritating. You see if everyone else likes it, I probably don’t! Whether it is music or just about anything else, I like what I like, and if I don’t – too bad! Over the years I have learnt to close my ears and my eyes. We travel in the car – I don’t hear the music because I don’t want to. We have on the tv – again, I don’t want to so I don’t see it. I can live with that, everyone is happy. I get on with what I want to do, and life continues. Of course, it means that if anyone mentions the name of a ‘celeb’, or the title of a song, invariably I have no idea of the subject of the conversation. For instance, a while ago, at a party, we played a game which involved having names put onto our forehead. We had to guess the name. I had to resource to questioning my DH – questions like ‘Have I heard of him?’ I looked at Pinterest today. The page was covered with ‘Simon’. Simple Simon? Simon Says? I didn’t recognise him, and I have no idea who he is. As for films, well…. apart from James Bond. Yes, I have heard of him, but if there is one on TV I make remarks like ‘Was this before or after Roger Moore? Sometimes it IS Roger Moore! I know he was James Bond at one point because my aunt told me!
And there you have it – the link! Happy Birthday, Auntie Dot. We had a lovely chat earlier. I tried to find a photograph, but they are filed too well. I’ll find one for the biggie, next year!
Incidently, something else I recently saw on Pinterest was ‘Why try to conform, you were born to be an individual’. Maybe I not as odd as I have always thought……..) (Watch out later for the Weekly Photo Challenge, here’s the link)

I have no idea who all these so called ‘celebrities’ are either!
I knew we had lots in common, Gilly
