Yes, they do look like crumbs, don’t they, but they are in fact the contents of a teabag!

Just one of the things I’m happily playing with while I’m teaching at Urchfont. I’m there for the last time, so my camera will be as hot as the dyeing water. Back soon with more pictures here and on Just Snaps.
It would be interesting if you took a macro shot of the “crumbs” from the side of the table or surface they’re on!
Now that’s a good idea, I might try that next time.
Ah, water dyes….I had a friend who experimented with the old dyes, nettles and the like, to dye the wool she span (spun?) from a spinning wheel. I’ve always found it totally absorbing.
