Thursday 8th March is International Women’s Day. It isn’t something new, but it’s possible that this is the first time you have heard it mentioned. I confess that last year was the first time I had heard about it – and that wasn’t until the day itself. News and events are starting to filter through, and you can find out more about both the history and the events here.
Having looked at my diary I know that I won’t be able to attend an event, however, it occurred to me that an event on the internet would be just as valid. I have therefore decided to dedicate my blog on that day to two inspiring people in my life, both of them being women. I won’t say any more than that now, but I’m handing out a suggestion. Would you like to join me? Would you like to honour women in a positive way? This is open to both men and women – the only proviso is that it must be about a woman/women. If I get appropriate comments I’ll post more information. I’m thinking of something like a blog hop.
