Yes, I’m still resting, but the problem now isn’t resting the body, it’s trying to persuade my brain to switch off! I don’t remember feeling so relaxed for a very long time, so something good must be happening – and I can’t wait for the time when I can put into practice all the things about which I’ve been thinking.
Of course I’ve been thinking about colour! In fact, while I was trying to think about something else I suddenly had a ‘wow’ moment, and realised that I had thought of a different sort of dye sequence. It’s quite frustrating now that I’ve thought of it, especially as it seems so obvious I can’t believe that I didn’t think of it before! I already use several different sequences, but this one will create an even larger number of varieties than before. You’ll have to wait to see the result too!
I have allowed myself a little indulgence, however. To add extra colour to some of my items I give them a sort of pre-dye. It takes a way the starkness of the item and adds a richness to the resulting colour. This takes no effort whatsoever. I came up with the mix a long time ago, and all I have to do is pour it on and let it stand for as long as I like. So, that’s what I’ve done! I’ve put the underwear on my next lot of dyeing. This is a secret, though, so I won’t be sharing it on the dyeing course, but I will be introducing an easy and successful dye sequence. If you want more details you will find links here to several bits of information. I’m really excited about the course, it will be such a pleasure to introduce some new people to the wonders of dyeing, especially as good results will occur (as long as the instructions are followed).
